About Us

Frauen Fine Art was created in 2018 by friends and artists, Lisa Britton and Alejandra “Alexa” Orozco. The platform was created as a direct result of a conversation between friends, venting about the advantages they saw attractive male artists receiving in the art world, and like so many other female artists, were not privy to these benefits. We joked about starting a blog about it and eventually said “Why don’t we really do that?” We are honored that so many artists have been involved with this platform and supported our vision over the years.

Following a medical emergency in 2024, Alejandra Orozco is focusing on her health and wellness for the foreseeable future.

Frauen Fine Art’s mission is to provide opportunities, empowerment, and support to women artists across all stages of their career, while being fun and informative. Frauen Fine Art is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive space for women artists of all backgrounds and identities. Thank you for being here and hope you enjoy it!

  • I love a good party and are honored you would like to celebrate with FFA. That being said, I am not able to share personal announcements on the FFA website or social media at this time. Out of fairness to all of the featured artists and readers, this is a precedent that I am unable to set.

  • Photos are requested not to show off their looks, but to show that FFA features all kinds of female artists with all kinds of looks/bodies as a way to offset the concerns about potential biases or halo effect.

It is nice to have a face to the name/artwork and many art galleries and other art platforms feature an artist headshot on their website. If you are not comfortable submitting a photo, no worries, I get it! A photo is optional and not required.
